Welcome to the "Goldroom of Kalugrra Spring". All these nuggets and specimens are found locally, around Kalugrra Spring and the surrounding areas. As you can see they come in various shapes, sizes and weights.
Natural gold nuggets formed thousands of millions of years ago as a result of dramatic geological processes, volcanic action pushed molten gold into small seams.
As the gold cooled and solidified octahedral crystals sometimes formed which occasionally can be found today.
The seams usuallay became eroded by ancient streams resulting from flash floods.
Swirling torrents cause gold pieces to become worn and pitted before finally being deposited in alluvium.
Each natural gold nugget or crystal, through its unique characteristics, tell its own version of this great story.
